Florence photoshoot & elopement photographer: a little Italian romance
A Florence photoshoot is a chance to slow down together: warm stone, riverside walks and photographs that feel like you. I am Ralf Czogallik, the photographer behind Eppel, available by arrangement for couple sessions, engagements and intimate elopements in Florence, Italy.
From a city break to your wedding day
You might be travelling through Italy on your honeymoon, marking an anniversary or planning a day with just the two of you. A couple photoshoot can fit around your trip. Elopement photography leaves more room for preparations, vows and the little moments that turn a beautiful location into a personal story.
My approach combines colour, natural interaction and carefully composed portraits. I offer direction when you need it and space when you do not. You can walk, hold hands, laugh and enjoy being together; modelling experience is not required.
The river, the streets, the skyline
Ponte Santa Trinita and the Arno
A riverside route brings open views and a sense of place without making every photograph about a monument. We can plan portraits near Ponte Santa Trinita and continue into the surrounding streets, choosing our stops around the light and pedestrian flow.
The historic centre and Oltrarno
For an intimate Florence couple photoshoot, mix a recognisable city setting with quieter details: doorways, stone textures and a walk through Oltrarno. Rather than racing between every landmark, choose the atmosphere that matters to you.
Piazzale Michelangelo
This viewpoint offers a broad panorama over Florence. Treat it as a separate part of your route, allowing time to reach it. It is a popular public space, so an empty terrace cannot be promised. The final route depends on access, weather and your mobility needs.
A Florence elopement, at your pace
Imagine getting ready together, exchanging personal vows in an agreed private setting and heading into Florence for portraits. We build photography around your celebration, with breathing room for a drink, a meal or a few guests. A private terrace or venue requires the owner’s permission and a separate booking.
If you want countryside photographs too, we plan Florence and rural Tuscany as different parts of the day. Travel and changing locations take time. Photography coverage does not arrange a legal marriage, an officiant or a ceremony venue; those arrangements remain separate.
A thoughtful route makes better memories
An early session is worth considering if you prefer a calmer atmosphere. Later light can be beautiful along the river, but popular viewpoints may still be busy. Choose comfortable shoes for the walk and bring your portrait shoes separately if needed. In warmer weather, leave time for water and shade.
A compact couple session and an elopement need different coverage. We agree on photography time, walking distances, any transport and a weather alternative before booking. Tell me if stairs or uneven streets are difficult so the route works for you.
Florence photoshoot pricing
Your quote is based on the date, coverage and travel arrangements. It sets out photography, any travel or accommodation costs, the image selection, delivery method and turnaround. There is no fixed all-inclusive package promised on this page.
I travel for destination photography; I am not presented as a Florence-based studio. Flexible dates can help us coordinate your session with my travel schedule. For a larger celebration, see my Italy wedding photography.
Before you book
Can we book a Florence engagement photoshoot?
Yes. Engagements, honeymoons, anniversaries and after-wedding portraits can all be planned as a couple session. Share your dates and preferred atmosphere for a proposal.
Can we include Florence and the Tuscan countryside?
Yes, subject to the agreed coverage and travel plan. They are separate locations, so we allow time for transport rather than squeezing both into a short city walk.
Do you photograph Florence elopements?
Yes, by arrangement. Tell me about your ceremony, guests and preparations so I can propose suitable photography coverage. Legal formalities and venue bookings are separate.
Is sunrise or sunset better for a Florence photoshoot?
It depends on your route and priorities. Early light may suit a calmer walk; later light can suit riverside portraits. Weather, access and crowds shape the final recommendation.
What if it rains?
We agree on a backup plan, which may involve changing the route or timing. Any rescheduling depends on availability and your booking terms.
Are travel costs and edited images included?
Your individual proposal confirms travel costs, the image selection and delivery details before you book.
